Brits Take Their Home Comforts Abroad

Many consumers now make use of London airport transfers and one of the reasons why these services are so popular may be connected to the amount of luggage people take with them on holiday. According to research conducted by Samsonite, a third of Brits took home comforts abroad with them this summer.

Meanwhile, one in five of the consumers polled revealed they had found broken items in their luggage in the past. This may in part explain why there was a 41 per cent rise in sales of hard suitcases this summer, the firm suggested.

Among the most common home comforts that people packed to take with them on their vacations were slippers, dressing gowns, laptops, iPods, Kindles, cuddly toys and irons.

Nearly one in three respondents (30 per cent) noted they need at least two items that remind them of home. Being able to climb into a London airport taxi could make getting these belongings to and from their transport hubs easier.
