If you frequently send or forward mails to the same group of people, you can save a lot of time and effort by creating a group or mailing list.

Instead of selecting the names of the recipients one by one, you can create a group containing the names of all the intended recipients and send them all at once.

Here is how to do it.

Open Gmail. Go to the top left and select the Contact option.

Next select New Group and enter a name for this new group. Click OK to create it. The new group should appear on the left among the Contact.

Click in the newly created group to open it.

You can now start adding contacts to his group. Do this by clicking on the “add to group” button on the top left. A new window opens and you can type in the contact.

For example if you want to add "John Smith" to this group, type in "John" and all "Johns" in your contacts will show up. Select "John Smith" and click on the Add button.

Continue doing the same for all the other intended recipients.

When you have completed adding recipients to this newly create group, go back to mail by clicking on ...
... the Contact option and selecting Mail.

You are now ready to send or forward emails to your list of recipients. Here is how.

To send a new email, click on Compose button. In the TO: field, key in the name of this new group. You should see it in the drop down list. Click on it to select it.

All the recipients in the group will be automatically inserted into the TO: field. You can add more recipients or delete them if you wish.

Click send and the same email will to send to every recipient in the group

To forward a mail, click on the Forward button. In the TO: field, key in the name of this new group. The rest of the steps are similar to sending a new mail.
