A college degree will get you almost any kind of job that you desire. Being old does not imply that you cannot still get that degree though. Go for it for all you're worth; adult education is the solution for you.

There are a few of those jobs where the only thing that counts to them is that you have anything at all that is better than a diploma. So you might have to go to school again, even as an adult. If that's what it takes to get qualified, go and get it. I know I would.

Adult education includes literacy training for those who are yet to get it. However if you are already literate up to a certain extent, you could decide to go further. And sometimes, adult education is not about qualifications or capacity; merely about feeling good about yourself.
