Aged Woods® obtains a great deal of material from run down farm buildings. However, sometimes our interest is piqued by structures like old schools or factories. Recently, we've enjoyed rescuing and working with reclaimed wood flooring from a 19th century school building.

The East Stroudsburg Public School, dedicated in the autumn of 1896, featured maple wood floors, a common school flooring option at that time. After decades of use, additions and various renovations, the declining building was slated to be demolished in 2008. Aged Woods® rescued a large quantity of the antique wood flooring from this historic establishment.

Since then, we've been providing these pieces to clients as a sustainable flooring option that may be purchased as is, without the original finish or refinished after the planning process.
