Ceramic tile floors look great and have a very glossy and sturdy look. They're made from mixture of sand and clay that is heated to high temperatures. Different types of glaze are applied to the surface and it's exactly this what makes them very hard to clean. The problem is not the cleaning procedure itself but the right cleaning techniques and products.

Many cleaning experts that offers house cleaning in Melbourne warn you about the usage of natural products on your ceramic tile floor and especially if you plan to use white vinegar. Many cleaning recipes for tile floors involve vinegar usage but in this case you better not try it. The mild acidic properties of the vinegar might damage the glossy surface of the floor and will leave it looking dull and dirty.

First thing that you have to do to before you attack different stains with the cleaning product is to get rid of the loose dust and dirt debris. Take a vacuum cleaner and vacuum the whole floor with the right attachment. Use only soft bristle attachments because you will ...
... damage the surface easily otherwise.

Dish soap and water. These are the only two ingredients that you'll need for cleaning the tile floor. There are special cleaners for ceramic tile floors but I suggest that you first try with the soapy water. The cleaning procedure is really easy. Fill two buckets of warm water. The first bucket will be used for the cleaning solution and the second one will be used to rinse the solution. Add a few drops of dish soap in one of the buckets and stir until suds appear. Take a good mop and soak it with the cleaning solution. Start scrubbing the floor and the rinse the solution with the clean water. Repeat the scrubbing and rinsing procedure until your floor is perfectly clean. Be sure to change the water in the rinsing bucket to prevent transferring of the soap again on the floor. The final cleaning step is to take some old towels or rags (that are clean of course) and dry the floor. A properly dried floor is a must because if you leave it soaked you will only risk slipping on it and causing yourself quite and injury, but it will prevent mould and mildew infestation also.

I hope that these cleaning tips and advice help you keep your ceramic tile floor dirt and scratch free. And of course if you are situated in Melbourne, Australia be sure to check out the cleaning professionals offering home cleaning in Melbourne.
