A biometric identification system will use the unique characteristics of an individuals hand to prove beyond doubt which employee is entering the site. With the system running off hand scans it is impossible for “buddy punching” to occur, that is unless someone lends their hand to friend which is beyond unlikely.

Once you have ensured that only the right people can gain access to the site you may wish to give some thought to how you are going to power this work force. A number of workers are highly likely to bring their own lunch (snap, pack up depending on location) however provisions should then be made for employees who favour a hot meal on site.

Most construction site facilities companies will be able to provide a varying range of on site catering services. The level of catering you require will be mostly dependant on the size of your work force, if you only have dozen or so men on site a fully functioning canteen may be out of the question though may justify having a vending machine on site to prevent the need to pop off site to grab a quick snack.

If you have quite a large on site work force a larger canteen facility providing hot and cold meals is a must, especially coming up to winter months. There’s nothing better than a hot meal and a brew when your working through a bitter British winter.
