Antibodies are generally referred to as proteins, which are considered to be the building blocks of the human body. These immunoglobulins are found in the blood stream and defend our body against infections, virus, bacteria and other malicious elements. Antibodies have a major role to play in the immune system of our body. Most of the people often call antibodies as soldiers which drive the foreign invaders out of our body. There are essentially four types of antibodies found in the human body, which are briefly discussed as under.

To start with the IGA antibodies are those which protect the surface of our body. These antibodies are found in ears, eyes, nose, saliva, blood and the digestive tracts. Usually, around 10% to 15% of the antibodies in our body are IGA. An interesting fact is that these antibodies are also present in breast milk which helps boost the immune system of new born babies. Next, there is IGM which consists approximately 5 % to 10% of the antibodies. Lymph fluid and blood are said to contain these. The IGM antibodies are the ones that act first once our body is under attack from a foreign element. ...

CD34 antibody is also an important antibody found in the human body which has many different functions to play. It is usually referred to as the human cellular molecule which is present on the surface of the cell. It plays to important roles one as a ligand and other as the receptor. When acting as a receptor, it sends different signals to other cells to perform certain functions. Whereas as a ligand, its main function is to just bond the other receptors together.

As a protein expressed on the antigen-presenting cells which offers costimulatory signals important for the T cell activation and survival, CD86 antibody, too, plays a major role in our immune system. It acts a ligand for different proteins on the T cell surface. Another important type of antibody present in humans is the IGE antibody. These are normally found in skin, mucous membranes and the lungs. The IGE antibodies protect us from fungus, pollen, spores etc. An important thing to be noticed about the IGE antibodies is that their levels are particularly high among people having allergies.

Coming to the last type of antibody, IGG, this is present in the entire body fluid. Approximately 75% to 80% of the antibodies in our body are IGG. These are instrumental in protecting us from virus and bacterial. With technological innovations happening at a breath taking pace, scientists now use different antibodies & proteins in for their research & experiments in the hope to find cure for many different diseases. For instance the BrdU antibody helps scientists in different molecular & cytokinetic studies.

If you are looking forward to get the best antibodies for your research, choose an experienced online antibodies supplier such as Biorbyt. It offers different kinds of scientific reagents at affordable prices.
