How Ambient Light Effects Led And Lcd Tv Performance
LED and LCD TVs are perhaps the most commonly used TVs by most of the people nowadays. One of the most widespread problems the viewer faces with these is that of light issues. Most people think LCD TVs should generally be watched without any light when one wants to watch a movie on it; however what they don’t know is the performance is visibly better with just an ambient light turned on. But then, what is the reason why people don’t use ambient lights?
Normally people don’t use the ambient light because it:
• Creates an annoying reflection on the screen.
• You are able to see source of the light, the bulb or whatever being shown on the screen and that is also quite frustrating.
These problems however, can be easily overcome if you take simplest of measures such as:
• Put the light behind the TV so that no actual bulb or source of light is seen.
• To avoid reflection, simple point the light source towards the wall at the back of the TV.
Moreover, these lights are very efficient and use very little power. But the question still remains in the mind of ...
... customers; are these lights any good for an LCD TV and an LED TV or are they of no particular use?
For LED (light emitting diodes) TVs, the whole mechanism is quite different from that of LCD TVs. They use the new technology of emitting light from inside and hence, it actually works without a back light. This is different from the liquid crystal displays (LCD) and so it can display deep black levels that are thinner than the LCD. Therefore in low ambient lighting, the LED TVs can attain higher contrast levels whereas the LCD TVs use another kind of fluorescent light technique.
Another thing to consider is that flat screens are generally brighter, and have visibly better transmission as they have high contrast. Keeping this in mind, the LED TVs and LCD TVs perform much better than the old CRT sets in low ambient lighting. You don’t have to switch off the lights in your room to improve the quality and visibility of your movies anymore, these new TVs enable you to watch anything without getting eye strain, as neither the LCD nor the LED TVs flicker the way old fashioned TVs used to.
If you are looking for the best product in the market which does not cause any problems and is easy on you savings too, then go for the Panasonic LED, LCD TVs. They not only perform extremely well in ambient lighting but also offer grand discount offers on their products.
