In an effort to solve the problem, many business owners and managers have started using Internet tracking software. This type of software is especially popular in businesses where employees need access to the Internet in order to do their jobs. While there are many different versions of employee Internet monitoring software, they do all have one thing in common – they invade the privacy of your employees. Once your workers catch on to the fact that you’re “spying” on their Internet usage, their morale will suffer. And once their morale suffers, their productivity will as well.

Measuring the amount of time your employees are productive, rather than monitoring their usage, is a much more positive and proactive way of addressing the issue.
