You could write a very long book on this and still get lots of people disagree with you. If you do only half of what's written below then you will be doing a thousand times more than most business owners!

1.Make sure that your website makes it very clear through content, page titles etc what it is about. Google is not sending human beings to look at your site, it is sending software driven robots. 8.Have outgoing one-way links to authority sites such as Wikipedia to build your reputation.

9.Link as often as you can between your internal pages. Use anchor text to do this i.e. instead of ‘click here' use the words that describe the page you are going to.

10.Get links from the best places. DMOZ is still the one to have closely followed by ‘do follow' links from subject related blogs.
