When innovation is brought in conversation there is a lack of consistent terminology. Some of the most commonplace mistakes that are often made are when people confuse the terms "creativity" and "innovation." At times, innovation consultants are talking about creativity, but they use the word “innovation” because they believe it is important to stress the potential complexity that innovation management can bring to a business over the term than “creativity." Innovation process management is about the implementation of those creative ideas in order to institute change. For a business in need of corporate innovation, the context of this would typically be through increasing value either in the form of increased revenue or reduced costs or both. Businesses take the form of innovation management challenges and confuse with creative exercises. Creativity involves more conceptual mapping and implementing unconventional global concepts to the task or challenge at hand. With the confused definitions, there are times in which there is a complete disconnect between the creativity exercise and the innovation process management for implementing any ideas that arise in an organized manner such as through the collaboration of a enterprise management software.
