Tips On Converting A Bus For Sale Into An Rv

Let’s use the example of a mini bus. When you find a bus for sale that’s referred to as a mini bus, you’re usually looking at a vehicle that holds between 12 and 25 passengers – meaning there is seating for that many people. Whatever size of bus you select, the seats are going to have to be removed before you can start setting up RV features.
When your seats are out, call around to companies that advertise “bus for sale” and see if they also sell used bus parts and accessories. You might make some good money by selling them the seats, and this money will come in handy as you build your RV.
What do you want the interior of your refurbished bus to look like? You might get some ideas by visiting a few dealers and seeing if they have a bus for sale that’s been converted into an RV. Take notes. You can also surf the Internet and look at a long list of RV interior photos. A good part of this is that you can save photos and then compare different interior ideas until you narrow it down to the one(s) you like best.
RVs have more “traditional” home-style ...
... amenities than a bus. Do measurements and find out the space you’ll have for a sofa, captains chairs, a dining table, a cooking area, an entertainment center, a bathroom and so on. Naturally, to include all of these amenities, you’d have to find a fairly large bus for sale. But even a smaller one will probably give you enough space for the things you really want and need.
You can visit (or shop online) a well-stocked RV supply company and find just about anything you want for your converted bus. For sale in these stores will be everything from electronics and appliances to air conditioners and awnings. Plan your budget carefully, and try to get used items, when possible, and you’ll end up with a slick “new” RV.
Finally, when looking for a bus for sale to convert into an RV, consider that some busses don’t have driver-side doors. If you want a door and your bus doesn’t already have one, consult the dealer where you bought the bus for recommendations of a company that can do this modification.
With a little elbow grease and money, you can have the RV you always wanted without spending big-ticket money on a real one.
