Why You Need A Health Insurance Cancer Plan

A body that functions well produces new cells only when the body requires them for growth and repair. The cell growth of these cells is controlled by a group of genes that work together. When these genes get damaged, the body starts producing too many cells. These extra cells combine together to form a lump or tumor which more often than not results in cancer.
However, the growth control genes of the body do not get damaged all at once. Most of the time, only few cells get damaged; that is why cancer begins in just one spot.
These genes are usually damaged by the bad chemicals that are present in the person’s environment. Anything that causes cancer is called a carcinogen. Some of the carcinogens are tobacco, harmful rays of the sun, arsenic, asbestos, gamma rays, and x-rays.
Cancer is named after where it is found on the body. There are a hundred different types of cancer. But, the most common types of cancer are lung, breast, prostate, blood, throat, and colon cancer.
Research is still going on to find out if cancer is genetic or not. Some cases have been found where the person having cancer has ...
... had no history of cancer in the family at all. There have even been cases where the parent has been diagnosed with cancer and so has their offspring. It has not yet been confirmed if cancer is genetic or not; but, one thing is for sure is that cancer is not contagious. By talking to a person with cancer or sharing their food will not make you susceptible to the disease.
The symptoms of cancer depend on three factors- the size of the tumor, the location of it, and how far it is spread. If the size of the tumor is big, then it is easily visible just beneath the skin. Usually in breast cancer, you can easily make out the tumor. In cancers like blood and brain the symptoms are not so visible. A patient with this type of cancer suffers from high fever, sudden weight loss, excessive sweating, vomiting, headaches, and fatigue. Cancer attacks the immune system making the person susceptible to minor illnesses.
Cancer has three different stages. Chances of survival are maximum in Stage 1 and minimum in Stage 3. If cancer is found out when the person is in Stage 1 then it can be removed and cured completely. Stage 3 is the final stage of cancer. When a person is diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer, chances of survival are very less. Most often the person does not survive.
Cancer is a very serious disease and the treatment is very expensive. Moreover, it is not a disease that disappears in a few days. Being diagnosed with cancer would mean a lot of visits to the doctor, chemotherapy, and expensive medication. You may not have the funds to support your medical bills. Therefore, the minute you are diagnosed with cancer you need to get yourself a health insurance cancer plan. Finding an insurance plan after getting cancer can be a little difficult as the premiums for cancer patients are a little high. But, do not lose heart, with a little research and patience you can find the perfect plan.
The affordable health insurance ensures that you and your family get the medical treatment whenever you need it. You can find the low cost health insurance preexisting conditions very easily at affordable rates.
