It’s 2012 For Christ Sake - Buy Online

Day 1
Every writer is familiar with the concept of Pseudonyms. Many belonging to this illustrious profession take refuge in its cover. But, seldom in the life of a writer, he ends up getting a Pseudonym by his readers. For example, you labelling me as an old timer or old school or whatever, guys these days call the ones who love dropping by the house of a friend and saying hi to him in person than reading the lines ‘XYZ is Typing’ in a box. I know, I know, you are thinking it’s time for grandpa to take his ‘Ranting pill’ or a few of you would have started praying already for someone to get me my walker, so that I go for a walk in the garden and bore a person who hasn’t even realized that his hearing aid went missing, a week ago.
No matter what you think or say, I have to make my point. I mean, I really miss those days when I had jet black hair and when People took a stroll to their nearest bookstore to buy books. The days when you had the pleasure of watching, the world of books unfold in front of you. But youngsters these days, stay busy in smacking the mouse. They do online shopping ...
... on online shopping portals and get any book they want, delivered at their doorstep. I can’t talk no more, I have to take off my dentures and put them in a glass, it’s time for my evening nap.
Day 2
I woke up to an excruciating pain in my knee, must be my arthritis. I needed to get my medicines, couldn’t drive all the way to the pharmacy with this bad knee, was not in a position to walk either. Peter, a nice kid who lives around the block, saw me grimacing in pain. When I told him about my problem, he quickly ran to his home and brought the medicine, the one I was looking for. Those were his granny’s pills as she suffers from the same problem. He told me his dad always gets them through online shopping. Later that day, I found him reading ‘The Dubliners’ from James Joyce. The upholder of traditional values in me required no further push to lay down his weapons. It was a sweet defeat if not a crushing one. It’s a wise thing to move on with life than staying back rooted to the past. I must admit technology has made life easier and more active for us. Online book stores have indeed made the process of buying books online more convenient. Now, with the presence of an online bookstore, you could buy books and devote more time in getting enriched with wisdom, than straining your eyes while looking at every title on the shelves.
