Taj Mahal, Agra – Among The New 7 Wonders

India is a very renowned tourist place among all countries, people from whole Europe, America, Australia, Middle East and whole Asia in fact the whole world come to India for spending out their vacations. The foreigners like the culture and History of India the most. These are the two things which attract the foreigners the most; they love to visit our historical monuments, palaces, our temples, mosques and our culture. Though there are n numbers of historical monuments which are the best, but one which has great international presence and is also included among the new 7 wonders of the world is “The Taj Mahal”.
Taj Mahal is the symbol of love, which shows how deeply a man can love his wife, in memory of his wife build this tribute to her. He was the son of the mughal emperor Jehangir and grandson of one and only Akbar the Great, he was none other than Shah Jahan. The name of his wife was Mumtaz Mahal. This historical monument was build at the bank of the river Yamuna in Agra city. From the top view it is a perfect square building with a tomb in between, which is the main attraction and four minarets at each corner ...
... of the Taj Mahal. This historical monument is surrounded by a huge garden and fountains throughout the path; this is all because of the tourists visiting over there. There is an entry fees for the monument keeping a low fees for the Indians and comparatively a higher fees for the foreign tourists. Most of the visitors come in the months of October, November and December. The city of Agra being the capital of Mughal Empire for a long time, has many nearby tourist places too which also attracts the tourists very much they include Agra Fort, which was constructed by Emperor Akbar, then we have Akbar’s Tomb, Fatehpur Sikri it is around 35-40 kms away from Agra city, and many other historical monuments are there.
Being such a tourist place which brings too much traffic into the city throughout the year, the main business of the local people runs from these tourists only. For stay there you can find out every type of hotels, Cheap and Affordable Hotels, even ranging from 2 to 5 star hotels. You can also have the options of Serviced Apartments, Guesthouses and of course resorts. Indians usually don’t opt for holiday packages for Agra, packages are being taken by foreigners usually. Indians usually come for family holidays over there, apart from that people from the nearby cities plan it for a Weekend Breaks, Saturday and Sunday being a holiday they plan a short trip of weekend breaks which make them feel different from the daily routines.
