Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka is known by various sobriquets such as Garden City, Pensioners Paradise and Silicon Valley of India. This city is a tourists’ delight and is dotted by various attractions such as palaces, gardens, churches, temples, museums and historical monuments. Many tourists on a scheduled tour of southern India, make it a point to explore this city as well as Pondicherry, which is totally unique in its tourism offerings. Pondicherry to Bangalore is a distance of around 311 kms which is perfect for a weekend visit to this beautiful and booming city.

State run buses ply between from Pondicherry to Bangalore on a daily basis and takes around 7 hours to reach the destination. There are numerous private buses too that operate in this route. Apart from buses, Pondicherry to Bangalore can also be reached by hiring cabs that charge in the range of INR 15 to INR 30 depending upon the type of vehicle chosen. Cabs also take around 7 hours and are ideal for families travelling with young children and elderly people.

Trains are another option to travel from Pondicherry to Bangalore. There are daily trains available in the route and although trains may take a little longer to reach the destination, the comforts and convenience that it offers far outweighs its shortcomings. From Bangalore railway station, autos and taxis can be hired to reach the destination of your choice.
