Not everyone can afford to have expensive holidays in Europe. The comparative cost of the money you spend for the international travel to Europe can be quite a lot more than if you were to spend the same amount of time exploring areas out of the main stream holiday spots within the Euro zone. So what are these comparatively less explored areas of Europe that can help you to unwind with a peaceful mind? Make sure that these spots are included in your Europe holiday packages. One of them is Croatia and its currency is Croatian kuna. You can enjoy calm, soothing walks along the beaches of the land of a thousand islands. They are quite near Roman monuments, while still allowing you to enjoy lazy afternoons along the sun kissed beaches. You can also go exploring through the 150 islands that are part of the Kornati National Park. Be sure to visit Trogir, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Filled with palaces, churches and towers, you can get your slice of European history here with a more peaceful setting. The cuisine here includes octopus, and brudet – which is a stew made of sea eel and fish.

Poland has quite a few ...
... sights and sounds for you to enjoy as well, and its currency is zlotys. You can enjoy the largest sand dunes to be found in Europe when you visit the Slowinski National Park. If you want you also have the option of sailing along the Mazurian lakes where you can pass by what was once Hitler’s headquarters. You can also enjoy the sights of castles and forests, for those looking for secluded areas to enjoy. If you happen to be a fan of horror, be sure to visit the reportedly haunted Reszel castle. Even Warsaw’s Old Town – which has been rebuilt and has been included in UNESCO’s world heritage sites – is not to be missed out on. Watch out for brutal summer storms though! Culinary delights here include the pierogi and bigos.

If you happen to be a nature lover don’t miss out on Turkey while you’re planning your international travel. While it does have sparkling beaches, the true attraction is undoubtedly that of a downriver boat ride starting from Dalyan and ending at Iztuzu. If you’re lucky you could catch site of nesting sea turtles at this point. For a cultural treat, there are ruins galore near the beaches for you to enjoy. The best part here is that there are no big-wig hotels to drain you of your money – only humble but homey cabins that are run by the local populace. Be sure to visit the many cultural and ecological sites found in Cirali like Olympos and Antalya. So go ahead and visit the less beaten down tracks in Europe!
