However, it would be wrong to say that all the top mystery novels deal with the theme of searching out an evil mastermind and seeing to it that the said villain gets punished. Yes, it would be wrong to say that these novels do not concentrate on anything else.


The genre of mystery novels is so liked by the readers for another reason. The top mystery novels always have interesting subplots which have some very important purposes. A subplot keeps the reader’s mind from overworking trying to solve the mystery before the story actually ends. It provides comic relief and makes the experiencing of reading the novel even more satisfying. An intense plot filled to the brim with suspense; lighter yet intriguing subplots and commendable penmanship – all these factors, when glued together, make it impossible for a reader to put down the book until the story has been completed.
