Choosing Womens Fragrances And Perfumes For Every Occasion

Women’s fragrances and perfumes are never easy to choose because there are so many different options to go for and most of the time the actual choice boils down to the individual preference of the woman and how the scent settles on her skin. A lot of it boils down to how the chemicals mix with the natural oils and secretions of the body and whenever there is a clash you will often find that the fragrance changes and the way it smells on the body is completely different to the way it smells in the bottle. When that happens, there is, unfortunately, nothing you can do to make it smell nice on you and you will have to move on to the next one to see if it suites your skin type.
When you look back at the history, you will see that it was mostly natural substances that were used and it was only the elite that had access to genuine womens fragrances and perfumes. Queens and wives of conquerors were the privileged few that had the pleasure of smelling like rose petals, vanilla essences and rich cinnamon. The natural nature of these fragrances ...
... made them a lot more compatible with the skin and they would actually smell the way they were supposed whenever they were applied. Creating fragrances in this way was quite expensive and it was usually limited to the elite. As time progressed, new ways were discovered to create perfumes and they were able to manufacture a scent using a cost effective chemical process that that allowed them to be made in large quantities and at a much more cost effective rate than ever imagined. Today, it actually costs the perfume manufacturer more money to make the bottles that the fragrances come in, than it does to actually make the perfume itself. The cost effective chemical nature of these fragrances is what causes the conflict with certain skin types and that is why you need to be more careful when you are picking your perfume. It is important to note that the perfume manufacturers have managed to hone their skills a little further these days and they can actually make the perfumes for specific skin types. Their research has also shown that specific types of scents go better with specific types of skin.
Darker skins work better with stronger, heavier perfumes whereas light and fair skins tend to hand floral and light perfumes. Just spending a bit of time in a perfume store testing some of them out will help get you on the right track for the best possible perfume for you.
