The time between spring and summer is usually a great time to be in Melbourne because the weather starts warming up and so does the whole city. All walks of life come out of the woodworks, so to speak, and things start to get really interesting over there. You can head out into the city and explore all the exciting stores in the walkways, by-ways and shopping malls, where you can literally shop until you drop. You can head up river and into the Yarra valley where some of the best Australian wines are made, and if it is warm enough to hit the beach then you can do that too. There is truly something for everyone in Melbourne and all it takes is a little enthusiasm and knowing what it is that you want in order to make your day perfect.

You will need to make sure that your lodging is safe, secure and comfortable if you are going to be staying in the city centre and places like grandhotelmelbourne.com.au are ideal for that. You can book a fully serviced hotel room that has its own separate bedroom, or you can book something en-suite or open plan, depending on what you ...
... prefer. You can also get a great view of the city from your hotel room, where you can sit back and enjoy the sunset from your own balcony and once you are ready for it, you can head out and paint the town red after having a few sundowners. You can head out to explore some of the more colourful parts of the city, including Fitzroy and St Kilda which have a genuine bohemian element to them that makes them unique and fun to experience. The famous clowns head entrance of Luna Park makes you walk through his massive mouth, before you can get to hop on rollercoaster rides and eat candy floss until you feel like an absolute kid again. Nature buffs can head out to the Yarra valley and explore the mountains and hills of Australia’s wine country. The beach bums can head down to the beach to catch a few waves, or kite surf out in the bay.

Sports fans can indulge in as much sports as they can handle with cricket, rugby, Australian football and even the grand prix as possible events for you to look into. It does depend on the time of year and the exact season, but there is bound to be some sport for you to enjoy. There is truly something for everybody in Melbourne and it won’t let you down.
