Drinking Games A-z: Anchorman
The Anchorman drinking game is a fun way to make team sport a drinking event. Or maybe drinking a team sport event?Sip Score: just a 2, which makes it a Light-Sipping game.Game Description: This is a coin drinking game that tests players' agility at bouncing Quarters off a table and into a pitcher. Players divide into teams and the concept of the game is for each team to try to be the first to get all three coins into said pitcher of beer so they don't have to drink the whole thing.Number of Players: A minimum of six for two teams of threeplayers. You Will Need: Six coins of decent size (If you don't have Quarters, something like U.S. Quarter size and heaviness is good); 6-8 players and a pitcher of beer! How to Play: Fill the pitcher with half a beer for every player. Then divide the participants into two teams of three players. Give each team three coins and get playing by bouncing the coins off of the table and into the pitcher in alternation between teams so that each player gets a go.Rules of the Game: Pretty straightforward. Coins can only be bounced off of the table (not thrown, not placed) into the pitcher to count ...
... as ‘in.'The majority of game play occurs only after one team has completed the triple-coin-dunking challenge:THE WINNERS: 3 COINS IN FIRST: The winners will be the team that manages first to get all three coins into the pitcher of beer. They have to choose who will be the ‘Anchorman' from the opposing team. The losing team has to drink the contents of the pitcher in one as a group task (minus the coins, of course). First player gulps as much as he can and then passes to the next team member who does the same and passes to the final team member (the Anchorman) whose job is to drains the pitcher.ANCHORMAN: The winners get to decide from the losing team who will be the ‘Anchorman' - this lucky player must go last and finish all of the beer left over from his two other teammates who took gulps first.FAILURE OF ANCHORMAN TO DRINK EVERYTHING:If the Anchorman fails to drain the pitcher, each of his team members must TAKE A SHOT as a double-loser penalty!TIE BREAK: In tie break situations where both teams get the same number of coins in despite everyone having taken their turn, the stalemate can be broken with the great decider of all-time - Rock, Paper, and Scissors! Play it between the two teams, one-on-one, in best of three games. Winner of at least two of the three is crowned champion! You Lose: If your team is the last to get all three coins into the pitcher in this toughest of drinking games.
