Become A Dog Trainer - Obedience Training Dogs - 10 Mistakes You Should Know
If you want to become a dog trainer at home, please understand that dogs and puppies learn through your positive actions which are supported with verbal commands.
#1) Don't stick new dogs and puppies in a cardboard box. Find a safe, quiet area in the house and prepare a soft bed for them (blanket, etc.). A secondary option is to buy dog crates for potty training for puppies. The dog crates should be just big enough for them to turn around inside. Any larger, the puppy or dog would be inclined to eliminate in the dog crates.
#2) Don't leave dangerous things laying around that dogs and puppies can chew on. Be sure things are out of reach. Make sure they have their own toys.
#3) Don't leave dogs and puppies in a confined area for long periods of time unattended. You must slowly work into a routine that will help them establish control of their bladder and bowels.
#4) Don't feed your dogs and puppies cheap dog foods unless you want accidents and illness. Read the ingredient labels. Seek out nutritional dog food free of corn, gluten and chemicals. Dogs and puppies need healthy food just like children ...
... do.
#5) Don't just feed your dogs and puppies once a day. Puppies should be feed three times a day until they are three to six months of age. Adult dogs should be feed at least twice day.
#6) Don't forget to take your four legged child out to potty. Potty training for puppies requires that you must take dogs and puppies out to relieve themselves within a short period of time after feeding them, after they wake up from a nap, and after being confined for a long period of time. Praise them each time they take care of their business in the yard.
#7) Don't ignore your dogs and puppies. You must show love and compassion every day. Take them places. Do things with them. Talk to them lovingly as you would a child. Buy appropriate collars for dogs and puppies with a leash and keep them on the lease at all times when out of the house for their safety and your liability protection.
#8) Don't hit your dogs and puppies with rolled up paper or anything else. Don't yell! Would you hit a three year old baby with rolled up paper or a belt? No! Understand that most dogs have the mind of a three year old. If you have a problem, give your fury loved one a time out like you would a child.
#9) Don't give your dogs and puppies bones to chew on. Bones can splitter while chewing and if swallowed, could be fatal. It's not worth the risk.
#10) Don't leave your dogs and puppies in a vehicle where they are subject to heat stroke or being stolen and never chain or tie your dogs and puppies in the yard.
If obedience training dogs is your goal, avoid these mistakes and you'll be on your way to become a dog trainer. Remember that dogs and puppies are looking to you for proper guidance.
