Vancouver is a city in Canada. It is basically a coastal seaport city in province of British Columbia in Canada.It is eighth largest city of Canada.Vancouver has a population of more than 640,000. This city is ranked in top ten of world’s most liveable city.The city is near Pacific Ocean. The city’s total area is of 114 square kilometres.Vancouver is named after a Royal Navy Captain Vancouver.Vancouver has one of the largest parks in the North American region called Stanley Park.Vancouver is 3rd largest film producing centre in North American region. Due to this it is known as Hollywood North in the world. The other reason for this name is that almost 10 percent of Hollywood movies production is done in Vancouver.Vancouver has a warm climate.Usually summers are dry and sometimes in summers there are drought conditions also in month of July and August. Average temperature of the city is 10°C per year. The temperature rarely reaches 30°C. On start of winter season there are snow falls averaging 48 cm per year and in late winter it mostly rains.
