Make Your Own Custom Labels
One of the best ways to enhance your special fabric gifts is through use of tags and custom labels. In this way you can not only make your gift more professional but you can also use it convey any information or message to its recipient. This is the reason why custom labels and printed labels are getting extremely popular and relevant in every field. One of the most prominent uses of these labels and tags is in the field of online marketing and at shows. If you also want to make your own label or tag then you can do it with the help of a computer, inkjet printer and fabric paper which should be printable. You can easily get such fabric in any fabric store, supply stores or any other craft shops.
Your first step toward this should be designing your tags or labels. For this process you can use a program for word processing or you can also get some online label making application or program. Once you get such program, design a tag or label as per your choice and style. Choose color, design and format of the custom labels or tags. Once this stage of design is complete, you can place your printable fabric paper under the ...
... printer. After that you need to follow some basic steps.
You should use a high quality and effective photo ink for printing the labels clearly onto the fabric paper. Once you get the print on the fabric paper, allow the printed ink to completely dry. Leave it untouched for at least 15 minutes; ensure that nobody touches the print within these 15 minutes. If you are not satisfied then you can also leave it for some more time till it gets completely dry.
Now, you should Iron the fabric’s top but ensure that it is on medium heat as it can also damage the print. Now, slowly keep going over it and move Iron on every inch of the fabric. Now, you should peel the printed paper backing off the printed labels. After that, place the printed fabric into very cold water. Do not forget to wash your hands for at least 30 seconds.
You can now squeeze out all the excess water carefully and then blow dry it with the help of a towel. Now, again Iron the fabric on medium heat to dry it. After that you can use scissors for snipping the custom labels apart. You can pour a small quantity of the fray inhibitor onto any small saucer. You can dip all the edges of printed fabric into it. Now, your custom label is ready to be sewed in the fabric.
