Earlier logistics originated to fulfill the military’s need to supply themselves with arms, ammunition and food as they moved from their base to other destination or forward position. The logistics industry also depends on the timeliness in which products are delivered to a destination. The saying “Better late than never” does not work in the logistics industry and results in significant losses to the company.
