Six Tips Are Given To You When Buying Solid Wood Furniture

Firstly, check whether the furniture raw material is genuine solid wood or not
In fact, it is simple to take the judgement, what you have to check is the wood texture and wood scab on furniture surface. Take the cabinet for example, just from the outward appearance, if you find some decorative pattern on the surface, on the other side at the corresponding location, there would be the similar decorative pattern. If so, it would be the pure solid wood furniture. As for the wood scab, you can use the same way as checking wood texture to judge.
Secondly, you have to clearly know the varieties of trees used for the raw material of solid wood furniture.
In fact, it is the direct reason for the large difference on the price of solid wood furniture and their quality. As usual, the ordinary solid wood furniture are always made from beech, white oak, northeast China ash, elm, catalpa wood, rubber wood and other while the precious solid wood furniture such as rosewood furniture are mainly made from palisander, wood wings and bolivian rosewood. Nowadays, the price of wood, especially the precious wood, is increasingly ...
... rising, therefore it is not right to buy too cheap solid wood furniture.
Thirdly, try your best to find the defect
You have to check whether there is defect at the main pressed parts such as stand column and so on. As usual, there should be no large scab and crack. In short, the furniture structure should be solid and the framework should not be loose.
Fourthly, test the intensity of board
You can use your fingers to press the furniture board to judge its intensity and feel whether it is firm or not. As usual, the material should be fixed and if the framework is thin, when touching the furniture, you would feel it is not solid.
Fifth, touch the surface of solid wood furniture
When putting your hands at the solid wood furniture surface, you can feel whether the surface is smooth or not, whether there is air bubble and crack. If the board is covered by thin wood or other materials, the color and luster would be the similar. Cockles and exposed undercoat are not allowed on the furniture surface paint film.
Sixth, overturn the furniture to take the test
If you are planning to buy small size furniture such as chairs and other furniture with pad, you can overturn them to clearly see their inside parts.
