CCTV works as a crime detection device which is hardwired to a monitor or monitors, so that people can keep a tab on the happening in their household and offices. However, not any television can monitor the activities of a camera there are specific monitors which can do this job. These monitors do not take into account the airwaves like that of the common television monitors. The primary function of these amazing security devices is to monitor each and every activity of its surrounding area. Installation of these security systems have been reduced to such an extent that individual households are setting up these systems at low costs. These cameras were also setup in parking lots and results show a significant drop in crime. But, there hasn’t been any substantial report related to surveillance cameras in deterring crime. However, there are establishments which have benefitted from surveillance cameras in the past and following the footsteps of these establishments others are also installing these security systems.



Though there are certain negative aspects of these security camera systems, others have been quite happy using these installations. So, security cameras have been quite popular and in demand by individual households and companies for safety measures.
