Aroma of Coffee is one of the factors which attract people to coffee world wide along with various other reasons like taste, strength and its capacity to act as a stimulant. However every coffee drinker will have his/her own choice of blend and taste when it comes to coffee. No two coffees will be made alike as every person has a unique taste.

Choice of blend of coffee can be made based on the following factors:

Dry Fragrance which describes the aroma of the dry ground coffee powder with water in it.

Wet Aroma which is the smell of wet coffee powder after hot water has been added.

Brightness/Acidity is the tartness in the coffee which is usually found in coffee grown at high altitudes and it is seen that darker the roast, lesser the acidity.

Flavor/Taste is the taste of coffee which is characteristically described as sour like the unripe citrus fruit. While sweetness is the desirable trait in coffee, bitterness is the character of over extracted and darkly roasted coffee.

Body of coffee is defined by the feel one gets when you taste coffee. It is the sense of weight and thickness of the brew caused by the percentage of soluble solids in coffee.

Finish/After Taste is the taste of coffee after it has been swallowed like chocolatey, burnt, spicy, tobacco, tangy and citrus.

As the choice of blend is dependent on many factors, every individual will have his/her own taste and choice of aroma coffee.
