Over the last few years St Kilda has gradually begun to restore itself to its former glory. The rising cost of living and the increase in property prices has actually driven out the bad elements that used to tarnish the reputation of the place. Nowadays you can walk along the promenade eating ice creams at night without being bothered by anyone. St Kilda is probably most famous for its amusement park located right there on the boardwalk. Everyone that has been there will recall walking through the mouth of a massive bohemian style clown, entering into the theme park where you can still enjoy some of the time honoured fun fair activities, like amusement rides, fortune tellers and eating cotton candy.

Staying in St Kilda is an ideal thing because you are right there in the middle of all of it. There are several places you can stay but hotelurban.com.au is probably a better option. You can stay inside a fully serviced hotel room that is stylish and comfortable. Depending on how many people you decide to bring with, you can book a single, twin or double room for your stay and ...
... there will be plenty room for everyone. Most hotels will have satellite television and room service, so even on the really miserable days you can still relax in your hotel room, watching your favourite shows and ordering your dinner. This time of year you can expect Melbourne to be quite cool at times and it is probably best if you pack warm clothing. The ferries around the harbour and the boat rides up river are probably the closest you will get to the water, because it will be too cold to do anything else. St Kilda is the perfect location for you to experience the annual Melbourne writer’s festival and the Australian international film festival where you can get to see some of Australia’s finest films ever made and celebrate their achievements with this prestigious event. Your whole family can enjoy the docklands fireworks display that happens every year and you can take them through all the arts and crafts markets to look all sorts of bits and bobs to take back home with you, including traditional artwork and curios that are hand-made by the indigenous people of Australia.

St Kilda is just outside of the city centre and it is located on a well established transport route via bus and tram, so you really won’t have any trouble getting around and your hotel will ensure that the rest of your stay is comfortable.
