What may be silly to you and unimportant is not necessarily the same to him or her. Be compassionate no matter what the issue is and try and learn from it so you will know how to act in the future.
I've talked to many people that try to repair relationships who will tell me that they will sometimes both go to bed angry at each other. That is certainly no fun; and more times than not both wake up forgetting what all the fuss was about. Call a truce before you sleep.
