The marketing effort now requires professionals to innovate extensively for building winning strategies and deal with the advanced PPC tools, analytics dashboards, and complex software. Internet marketing jobs for professionals with PPC proficiency can grow in demand over the next few years.
Current hiring trends and salary range
The current PPC hiring trends in Internet marketing jobs reflect that the position of an online marketing manager is in most demand, approximately at 39 percent of all PPC jobs. The PPC specialist comes next at 24 percent, followed by an accounts ...

The salary structure pretty much follows the same pattern for Internet marketing jobs with the marketing manager being offered the salary that ranges from 73K to 119K at the higher end of the table in New York. Phoenix, however, offers a range of 49K to 79K, the lowest among the top 20 U.S. markets. The PPC specialist can earn anything from 58K to 89K in New York, while Arizona again comes up with the lowest salary range of 38k to 59K.
The director of Internet marketing position can earn the best salary in New York at 110K and the lowest in Phoenix, Arizona at 73K. The salary range for the position of a PPC coordinator is the lowest of all PPC jobs. A PPC coordinator can potentially earn the highest salary of 49K to 54K in New York and the lowest of 33K to 36K in Arizona.
Changes in search engine behavior and PPC techniques
There has been a marked change in the behavior of the search engines in the past few years. Pay per Click techniques have also changed accordingly. The growing confidence in search engines, both of users and advertisers, has brought in more sophistication to the Internet marketing process. This change has created more niche markets. The importance of researching for the right keywords assumes critical importance under the circumstances.
This augers well for Internet marketing jobs in general and PPC professionals in particular. The competition for PPC is likely to grow now. The main thrust will be to broaden campaigns, so that more search items and keywords are created to help the companies promote their products and services in niche markets.
