Pillow Pets came about in America after a mum from San Diegowas fed up of picking up stuffed animals after her children had left them on the floor after playing. She came up with the idea of transforming a pillow into a functional play item, the Pillow Pet.

Since 2003 they have been available to buy in the US and their popularity has now extended across the Atlantic to the UK.

Although there are many designs available in the US, there are only 8 main designs in the UK at the moment. Four promotional Easter designs came out for the launch, but these are now becoming increasingly difficult to get hold of.
