Before defining quick coupling, it is important to understand the concept of coupling. Coupling is a device that is often used to connect two shafts together at their ends. It is mainly allowed to transmit power and liquid. The main function of these couplings is to join two pieces of rotating equipment. They can be basically subdivided into two categories. The first type can be summed up as a rigid coupling; it is used to connect two shafts within a motor or a mechanical system. Sleeve coupling is a bright example of the rigid form. Then there is the concept of flexible coupling. They are used to transmit torque from one shaft to another.

Coming back to quick couplings, these are the couplings that are used if there is a need of safe and quick connection of fluids, gasses and power supply. These couplings are easily available in stores nearby your locality. They also come in a large range of varieties to choose from. Some of their ...
... special features are that of quick release active and the safety features that have been installed in them.

In fact, these couplings have multiple benefits. There utility can be felt inside air conditioned machines or in systems where there is compressed air. It plays an important part in quick release of such air. One can even indulge in thermal management with the help of these couplings. These couplings also help in releasing quick gases. These are also inexpensive in comparison with their utility factor.
