Are you a mall rat? Do you love spending time on weekends visiting various malls around your place? If yes, what exactly do you like in the malls? How is a mall experience different from a normal local market experience? Well, the answers to the questions above could be many!
Although, comparing a local market with a mall would mean comparing a metropolitan with a small town. However, it is still interesting to think of the ways in which the two differ and the ways in which the two provide a customer with a unique experience!
A mall is an amazing space to spend one’s time in as it’s buzzing with life and vibrancy! There are huge showrooms everywhere. The beautiful mannequins wave everyone a teasing ‘hello’ from within the showcase every time one passes through them. A mall is a place which is full of opportunities for a shopper who can browse through national and international brands and buy the best possible items for oneself after surveying a huge variety of options before his/her eye. A local market isn’t a place where a shopper would find international brands to look at.
Moreover, a mall always ...
... has an option to enjoy not just shopping but watching movies, eating, roaming about in the air conditioning as opposed to the local market. A person going to a mall can take a break from shopping and grab some food with friends in between or just catch a movie when he/she is tired of shopping. In a local market, the experience isn’t so posh and cool owing to the absence of air conditioning and posh ambience.
Apart from the above mentioned points, there is another aspect which makes a mall preferred over the local market, the aspect being- the architecture and design of the mall! Malls are beautifully constructed with well thought out plan of architecture and design. The showrooms are organized, the food courts and other eateries are nicely done up too. Even the essentials like restrooms are done up fabulously with toilet accessories and bathroom partitions etc.
Local markets are extremely disorganized and most often do not provide a shopper with a very pleasant experience. Therefore, to sum up, the jazzy and swanky décor and design of the mall including the lighting all around, the decoration everywhere, the well-taken-care-of restrooms with restroom partitions and the huge space to roam around make the mall experience more sought out for as compared to the local market experience!
