Mixed Martial Arts 2009 Outlook-00-710
Mixed martial arts have been making a huge impression on people in the last year as the growing sport has made it's way into homes all around the world . With more organizations starting up and trying to compete with the Ufc we should see a rise in company's trying to capitalize off of mixed martial arts , not to say they will succeed though as it takes alot of money and time. 2008 was a great year which seen many great fights and things that we will remember are things like Kimbo Slice losing and and the collapse of Elite Xc which followed. Another great addition to mixed martial arts was a man named Brock Lesnar who was once a Wwe wrestler who started training in mixed martial arts. Lesnar who is 1-1 in the Ufc has beaten Heath Herring and lost to former Ufc champion Frank Mir , this all leads up to his upcoming fight with champion Randy Couture for the Ufc Heavyweight title. The way I see this unfold is that Brock will be too strong for randy Couture and ultimately ground and pound him for the win , this is not saying I think Brock Lesnar is the most talented mixed martial artist in the division. Brock Lesnar has alot of ...
... work to be done if he wants to retain the Ufc Heavyweight belt in 2009 , with some submission defense and training he could be a contender for the Ufc Heavyweight division for years to come. Fighters like Brock Lesnar are good for the sport as they bring alot of attention to the sport which ultimately leads to more promotion and more fans. In Kimbo's case it obviously worked against Elite Xc but I think they had all their eggs in one basket which is bad for a company not established. The 2009 year should be a great year for the Ufc Heavyweight division and a great year for Mma all around .
