Energy Performance Certificate - And Its Necessity!
EPCs stands for Energy Performance Certificates offers a rating of how energy efficient a building is, with a rating of A & G where 'A' is the most energy efficient and 'G' being the least, with the average up to now being 'D'. It gives the building a standard energy and carbon emission efficiency grade from ‘A' to ‘G'. Such reports are beneficial to all home owners, tenants and buyers to know how energy efficient your building is. Based on this, tenants can make decisions about which property to rent out depending on its fuel efficiency. In order to issue a certificate it is necessary to conduct a survey of the property either by a qualified DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) or a Home Inspector (HI).
The basic criteria for assessment of your energy efficiency include:
Construction age
