Understanding “what is Lucid Dreaming” is more important to those people who face nightmares and periodic stories throughout night. Though lucid dreaming is the dream seen by the person consciously, it is used to treat a person who wants to end an undesired or saddening story of past. The dream is associated to psychological patterns where the mind and body acts suddenly in defense. The dream has its relation to those dreams that a person really wants to see in his/her real life. Day dreaming or to seek the thing in real life could be possibly done with the help of lucid dreaming.

Scientific studies have explored that lucid dream is the one that lets the person overcome past tragedies which he wants to forget and move on. In fact, lucid dreaming also helps the person to achieve success in future. This type of dream does not take the person into deep dream at night, but breaks it in between with constant motions of eyes that the person experience while in sleep. It was never taken seriously by scientific community until the year 1981 when groundbreaking research was conducted, bringing the facts in front of all with live lucid dreaming experience done by a person.

More commonly if you want to understand what is Lucid Dreaming then it is a dream in which you are well versed with the fact that you are dreaming. This realization keeps you awakened and safe even if it is a worst nightmare. You stay under control by thinking that it is just a dream and not a reality. It occurs when a person faces some strange things and stop questioning their reality. At the end they realize that they are dreaming and are not a part of real life. It can occur naturally, but not often. However, some may face it quite often than others and that too naturally. A lot of misconceptions surrounded to it that brought up debate and fresh topics in various communities including scientific community. Lucid dreaming stories come naturally in a person who understands the fact that it is a dream and so he remains under control in terms of muscle strength.

Misconceptions can be simple, but they are relatively unknown to people. Controlling lucid dream and normal dream, both have difference. Both are related, but each can occur without the presence of other. For instance, a lucid dreamer could experience a little or no control in his dreams. One can practice this dream control by staying aware that it is just a dream. For that, there has to be plotting that will let the person realize the next step and presence of mind. Dream control practice can be done with both conscious and unconscious mind. Lucid dreaming techniques are utilized by many to get the desired results.
