Mark Birnbaum, the Co-owner of the EMM Group has proved it yet again that he is the 'Invincible King of Nightlife' in NYC. Planning to expand even further, Birnbaum and his business partners have more ventures in store for New Yorkers this year. His first venture of 2012 will be a plush, sybaritic, state-of-art 19,000 square-foot nightclub situated at 199 Bowery on Manhattan's lower east side. Word has it the plans involve an exotic dining room that would specialize in Asian fusion cuisine, a lower-level jazz club, a coffee house and a bakery.
According to Mark, “They are purely brand-new areas for us. We are extremely excited to add new territories to our business portfolio and present original, innovative offerings to our customers.” 199 Bowery is anticipated to open in September 2012.

... York. Next on his list is 'Miami,' with much awaited second opening of his restaurant 'Catch' in Miami, its success is anticipated to take Mark and his partners to sky-heights in 2012. Catch, popularly recognized for having Top Chef Winner, Hung Huynh, offers a gamut of universally inspired seafood. Launching the second Catch restaurant was a no-brainer for Birnbaum, after he thought about the gala success of Catch in NYC and the scarcity of seafood-specific restaurants in Miami. Catch will hit the Lobby level of the James Royal Palm Hotel in November 2012.

Last but not the least; Birnbaum is entering into the reality-television business. He and his partner Eugene Remm are co-producing a reality TV-show titled “Kings of New York,” along with Tim Kash, a VJ of MTV Europe. The show focuses on a group of enthusiastic youngsters trying to make it big in hair-styling, modelling, fashion, nightlife promotion and other similar professions.

Mark and his partners, Michael Hirtenstein and Eugene Remm founded the EMM Group in 2006, and in such a short span of time, they have managed to build an unsurpassable empire. This trio has been named as “New Kings of New York Nightlife” by the Forbes magazine. During the company’s first 4 years, they managed to launch four highly successful venues: SL, The Chandelier Room, Tenjune and Abe &Arthur's. All these four venues instantly became a big-hit among many New Yorkers.
