Some Facts About Arabic Media
Previously in Arab, the Arabic media was controlled and owned by the Arabic government. But in 1990s, with the beginning of the satellite television, the entire picture got changed. Private media came into appearance; their main focus was to aware public with the exact happenings of world. These nongovernmental media start producing informative and current affair programs. In this article we will focus on the different mode of media in the Arab.
Newspaper
Newspaper in the Arab countries is categorized into three parts. The first is government owned second is the “independent press” and third type includes those newspapers that are owned by political parties. The government tries to put restriction on the newspaper by censoring it. The degree of government control varies from country to country.
In Arab most of the private newspaper is owned by rich people having political goal. So only few privately-owned newspapers are said to be editorially sovereign. For example six newspapers is published from Qatar. It is said to be technically autonomous but in fact it is owned by businessmen ...

In these countries many magazine and newspaper cannot published without a license which is issued by State government only. Some of the Arabic newspaper includes al-Arab, al-Ahram, Asharq Alawsat, Asharq Alawsat, El-Bilad and many more.
Broadcast
Broadcast media registered their presence in the Arab in 1990s, with the entrance of satellite television. Al-Jazeera is the oldest news channel of Arab and this channel is funded by the government of Qatar but it has an independent status. It covers a large number of audiences across the globe. Aljazeera live Arabic language and caters 24 hours with latest news from each corners of world. There are many entertainment, sports and business channels available in Arab. Few are Zee Aflam (an entertainment channel), Dandana TV (music channel), CNBC Arabia (a business channel) and Dubai sports (a sports channel). People can watch all these news channels using IPTV box anywhere in the globe.
Internet
The internet stepped in Arab in late 1990s; there are several reasons behind this. The first reason may be the high internet connection charges. Public internet access was available in 1999 and 2000 in Saudi Arabic and Iraq respectively. Studies say that in the middle of 2008 the internet access was increased by 11.1 per cent. Millions of Arab people started using internet least once in a month. The highest internet access is recorded in wealthy countries like UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.
