Country Garden Maintenance

Country Grounds Maintenance Ltd (CGM) was founded in 1985 by Tim Glover, the son of a farmer, and he continues to lead the company and inspire its development today.
Since those early days, investment in equipment, people, skills and training, has made CGM a perfect provider of services for clients looking for the best possible landscaping and maintenance services for their land or property.
Starting with a single mower on a trailer as his only equipment, Tim’s first contract was the maintenance of a church yard for a local parish council – and this same contract remains in place to this day. Other parish council contracts quickly followed and led to another person joining the business – that person is still a valued member of the CGM team.
Tim’s wife Julie took on the mantle of Company Secretary in 1989, the same year their first contract with the local authority was won. Tim and Julie are dedicated to making the business an ideal source of services for every customer, whatever the size of the project.
CGM is a family run business which is managed to high standards of excellent service, ...
... quality work, professional skill and customer satisfaction.
CGM has continually expanded over the years since that first parish council contract, with investment in machinery and skilled staff ensuring every department delivers exceptional services and goes from strength to strength every year. Continuous growth is a feature of CGM and a demonstration of its determination to provide clients with every service needed for landscaping, grounds maintenance, cleansing and more.
More recent turning points for CGM were the acquisition of a Norwich based competitor in 2006, followed in 2009 by the opening of a new branch in Cambridge. As expansion has taken place, Tim Glover has continued his commitment to high standards and caring for the environment, by achieving ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in 2008, which provide assurance of service quality for customers everywhere.
Today, almost three decades after starting his one person business, Tim Glover employs almost 100 local people across all CGM sites and holds a wide variety of contracts across East Anglia. Customers include government organizations, local authorities, parish councils and highways agencies. CGM is also a firm favorite with commercial, retail, industrial and domestic customers, too. This is the key to CGM’s success story – the company’s ability to deliver exactly what a customer requires, regardless of size of contract or the nature of the project.
Tim and Julie, aided by their expert managers and skilled staff bring knowledge and expertise to every project, every time, for every customer.
