These days, there is much advancement in Face lift procedures. They are not only dependent on long and painful methodologies. One such procedure is Microdermabrasion. Let’s have a look at this latest face lift procedure in detail.

Overview:

Microdermabrasion can be described as instant face lifts, while being safer and less painful to plastic surgical treatment procedures. No need of any Botox injections or intake of chemical peels. And remember, this process has become popular among both the genders.

The Basics

Microdermabrasion is the medical term for a cosmetic procedure that involves application of minute grain particles (rough in nature) on skin surface. This is done to get rid of the old skin layer. It is similar to scrubbing. In fact, big salons also feature face scrubbing facilities. There are several scrub creams available in the market. They can also be purchased and used at personal residence. Most common scrubbers available ...
... are those for face only. However, these days some different variants are available for neck, arms, and hands also. All these procedures are part of microdermabrasion. Let’s have a clearer look.

The human skin is made up of 2 layers: Dermis and Epidermis. Dermis is the inner layer that remains invisible to the humans while epidermis is the outer layer and is always visible. There is a funny and strange fact about epidermis. It is made up from dead cells in a layered formation. The layer at the top is referred to as Stratum Corneum. It is that particular layer which prevents any dust particle from passing through it to other cells. Most skin infections like blemishes, tan, wrinkle lines, sagging, etc. takes place in this layer. When creams and lotions are applied, a brief amount is passed through this layer to the inner ones. However, a large amount remains in this outer part. Microdermabrasion targets only the top layer, i.e. Stratum Corneum. After all, affecting those deeper layers can cause some adverse effect.
