In southern India, in Andhra Pradesh state, Mantralayam is one of the most important centers for pilgrimage. This town is visited by pilgrims and tourists in thousands all through the year, but especially during the months between February and September. The great saint, Vaishnav Saint Sri Raghevendra has his Jeeva Samadhi here. Devotees in large numbers visit Mantralayam to have darshan of Sri Raghavendra’s Brindavan.
It is on the Tungabhadra River’s bank that the mutt is situated. Accessing this town is very easy by train. Many of the trains stop at the Mantralayam Road Station which is situated at a distance of 12 kms from the Saint’s mutt. Finding accommodation in Mantralayam is not at all a difficult task.
