The revival in Southern California’s housing market is fast translating into solid gains. The home prices touched a record in June for the first time since August 2010 with California’s housing inventory going flat in the month.

According to sources in the California Association of Realtors (CAR) and National Association of REALTORS (NAR) the upward spiral of prices are in no mood to abate. In June, the national median home price for all types of housing spiked 7.9 percent since 2011. In June the gain has been the strongest since February 2006 as the the median rose 8.7 percent.

In San Diego County, the benchmarks for June 2012 showed existing home sales jumping in both volume and price in comparison to the previous month.

Pattern of Recovery
