La Coruña is situated at the north-west of Spain; it is a vast land of green landscapes. Its Galician name stems from the past Celtic-Roman heritage with a mystical allure. Lugo is its neighbor on its east with the majestic Atlantic Ocean is at its west while Pontevedra lies at its south and Biscay Bayon is at its north. History

La Coruña can be said to be an ancient city to have been founded by Hercules according to a local legend. However, the Celts, Phoenicians and Romans came trading at the La Coruña port since 2 B.C. when the place was discovered to be rich in minerals.

This city has had the honor of Julius Caesar visiting it in 62 B.C. Hence, it is not surprising to find a high Roman influence in terms of language, religion and culture.
