Goa is one of the most popular and favored tourist destinations in India. Tourists from all over the world travel to Goa to have great holidays. It has a perfect mix of sun, sand and sea. Nature has showered its bounty on Goa and this is evident in its landscape. Beautiful palm-fringed beaches, white pristine waters of the sea and a large number of architectural wonders make Goa the perfect place for vacations.

Here are the most popular tourist destinations in Goa that must be included in your must-see list:

Beaches: Goa is adorned with beautiful beaches right from the tip of the vast sandy coastline to the end. Some of these are public beaches while some are part of the luxury resorts. You can choose to visit a particular beach in Goa as per your preference. You can choose the Baga beach for water sports while the hippies hang out mostly in the Arambol. Other beaches include the Calangute beach, Anjuna beach, Colva beach and the Benaulim beach.

Old Goa: as Goa was the capital city during the Portuguese rule, it features some great churches, cathedrals, forts and mansions from the era. Some of these churches ...
... and cathedrals are the largest in the Asian sub-continent. The places of tourist interest here are the Convent and Church of Saint Francis of Assisi, Basilica of Born Jesus, Agauda Fort, Saint Augustine Church and the Chapora Fort.

Flea Market: another of the tourist attractions in Goa is the Anjuna flea market. The market is the most happening place in Goa if you wish to take souvenirs back home. The market is held on the end of the Anjuna Beach on Wednesdays and has more than 500 stalls with varied assortment of goods. While the Anjuna flea market is held mostly during the days, the market in Arpora, which is a little away from the Calangute Beach, is held during the night. It not only offers ample opportunities to shop but it also offers live music, entertainment and a diverse range of food.

Wildlife sanctuaries: besides the beautiful beaches, Goa is also home to wildlife sanctuaries. These are the Cotigao and the Bhagwan Mahavir sanctuaries. The Mollern National Park is a part of the Bhagwan Mahavir sanctuary and right on its fringes, you can find the Dudhsagar Falls, a natural waterfall.
