Rhinoplasty is the cosmetic surgical procedure to correct the shape and structure of the nose. Many people face breathing problems due to improper shape or nose structure. Correction of the nose tip, nostril, or removing bumps and repositioning the bridge can help immensely. There are different variations available in this procedure.

During Rhinoplasty, surgeon will make some sort of alterations internally while accessing the patient’s nasal shaft. Minute incisions at the base of nostril is done, depending on the patient's requirement. In this cosmetic surgery, tissues and bone structures are manipulated in order to achieve the much desired result. Post surgery, a certain type of splint needs to be fitted to the nose in order to maintain the newly formed shape. This splint needs to be worn for at least ten days.

Open: Those who have crooked nose will opt for this procedure. The surgeon will cut between nostrils to lift off the entire nose skin for treatment purpose.

Post operation, the patient will experience some sort of swelling and bruising around nose and eyes for some days. However, the pain can be easily controlled with the help of prescribed painkillers. In fact, swelling or bruising effect will go away after four-five days. Never worry about scarring as it will be absolutely minimal and is sure to fade away quickly.
