It is a well established fact that human beings have achieved the impossible. The computer or the internet technology has enabled people to interact with someone on the other side of the globe. However, along with all this commercial success, it is also a well known fact that poverty is a curse that still exists across the length and breathes of this globe. Tragically high on the poverty lists are countries that have a huge percentage of Muslim population. Hence, this is where organizations such as islamic relief have jumped into the foray.

They have been doing great work in helping the poor and needy. Though this is an organization that is based in the U.K its area of activity has stretched right across the length and breathes of the globe. Wherever, Muslims have suffered they have been there to help. Be it Palestine, Indonesia or any other place they have jumped into the foray. Volunteers are very important in the scheme of things. They are the back bone of any social organization. There is also the concept of orphan sponsorship. One can always approach such organization and take up the responsibility of an orphan. After the payment is done the sponsorship begins. He/she will be sent a photo of the child. Besides one will be receiving regular updates about the progress of the child.
