The Precautions To Keep In Mind While Applying Contact Lenses

If you are bored of wearing those traditional eyeglasses then give them up and buy Contact lenses. Glasses not only make you look more matured but let others know that you have a vision problem. You might also tend to forget your glasses at times either at house or in office. But contact lenses would free you from all the problems and would make you look more beautiful or handsome. Just use these lenses are see the difference it makes to your personality. Convenient to use and very light in weight you would not forget these lenses anywhere just like your glasses.
But there are certain points which should be kept in mind if you are wearing lenses for everyday usage. Place the lens on your finger so that it forms a cup shape then hold them directly in front of your eyes looking at the side of the cup. Do check to see that the lens forms an exact “U” and does not flares out the top edges. Some contacts do even come with laser marking like the brand name on the edge to help you identify their exact wearing style. Do not panic if you have placed the lens wrongly in your eyes ...
... as it won’t cause any damage to your eyes but would only feel uncomfortable.
Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the lenses so that you do not damage the lenses because of dirt in your hands. Do not use scented or oily soaps for washing hands that might adhere to the lens surface. You also need to check that you place the lenses in right eyes as both the lenses might not have the same power. Gently shake the lens case containing the storage solution to loosen them if they are stuck. Don’t pull out the lenses using your fingers or any other pointed object as it might damage them. Rinse them thoroughly with the lens solution before applying them. You need to be cautious while removing them as well so that you do not damage your eye or the lenses while removing them.
As these lenses are delicate hence they require proper care and maintenance to avoid any contamination. Always remember to wash your hands before touching your eyes while you are wearing the lenses.
