The wedding gown is the centerpiece at any wedding. The availability of thousands of styles and wedding dress designs in the market today can present a hard time when choosing a wedding gown that is ideal and appropriate. Different silhouettes and body shapes require different dress designs in order to come up with the best fit possible. For tall brides, the mermaid wedding dress can be a great gown to don at the big day as it brings vintage elegance especially when the dress is white in color. The dress has a pleated bodice and can be customized by using any fabric and color of choice.
Mermaid wedding dresses are more suited for those brides who are endowed with height such that the long train compensates for height. However, the color choice must coordinate with the skin color; brides who have pale skin but prefer little make up are better off selecting their bridal gowns that looks good with their skin tone. For those with much darker shin complexion, white mermaid wedding dresses can assist considerably in offsetting the contrast ...
... and natural hues. In any case comfort is the utmost important aspect next to beauty when it comes to the wedding dress; at least one that flatters the bride’s natural curves without causing any discomfort to the skin. Some women find themselves dissatisfied with the choice of gown often because they do not consider their body shape and skin tone when shopping for bridal dresses.
On the other hand, some brides go overboard by over using accessories. Signature jewelry often overshadows the glamour of a wedding gown especially the necklace and earrings. Most modern gowns have been designed and embroidered in such a way that not many embellishments need to be added. If any, accessories should match and emphasize demure facial features boldly without clashing with the dress style. As for makeup, minimal and modest use helps to retain a youthful and unsullied appearance.
Finally, a splendid way to enhance the bride’s facial features is to wear a tiara or a veil. This is a terrific way to make the bride feel like a queen on her wedding day regardless whether she is wearing a short wedding dress, or a mermaid wedding dress. Since appearance is everything at a wedding, every effort to minimize inconsistency in dress colors, venue embroidery and make up/accessories should be taken to ensure a success wedding that will be a foundation many years to come after the nuptial celebrations.
