Some even go through great lengths to design a landscape that is visually pleasing as well as projects what the brand is all about. While most office managers would want to have plants in their office, there are also a lot of common mistakes that they make when placing or taking care of plants. Some of these mistakes are as follows:

1) Watering: Obviously you would have to water the plants daily for them to survive and look healthy. However, some offices have plants kept in such a way that when you water them, some of the water spills over to other areas of the office. Needless to say this can create a number of problems from carpets getting wet to water entering electronic equipment. It also creates a bad odor if not cleaned immediately. All staff members in charge of maintaining the office plants should ensure that they are kept in such a way that there is no spillage of water from the plants.

2) ...
... Plant position: Plants are mainly used for aesthetic reasons in the office. They provide a pleasing visual and compliment the design of the office. However, sometimes they can get in the way of the daily movement in the office by employees. Of course you don’t always need to keep plants in a corner where no one goes, but at the same time you need to ensure it does not obstruct free movement in the office as well. Last thing you would want is people banging into office plants when trying to rush to another spot in the office.

3) Differentiating between indoor and outdoor plants: Now this mistake is more common than you would think. A lot of people do not realize that some plants grow well indoors whereas some are meant for the outdoors. Plants that need a lot of sunlight would not survive in a closed environment no matter how well you treat them. It is important to learn more about the type of plants in your office and what environment suits them the best. If in doubt, go for the new bonsai plants that not just look brilliant but are tailor-made for the office environment.
